Pedricktown township has a total area of about 20 square miles, most of it being land and a small portion of which is water. It borders Carneys Point Township and Pilesgrove Townships, the Delaware River and Oldmans Creek. About 1800 people live there.

The firehouse is an important meeting location. It stands near the Country Store so the firemen know where to quench their thirst after a blazing conflagration.

The former elementary school is currently in the process of being redeveloped. The local school system serves public school students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. The elementary school has about 250 students.

The center of Pedricktown is a gathering point for individuals who come from far and wide to experience the wonders of this lovely village.

A visit to the post office can be quite rewarding.  Many residents go to the post office each day with their letters and buy just one stamp.  Then they look at the clerk and ask, “Shall I stick it on myself?”  Although the employees have heard this 14,321 times (as of 4 Oct 2008) no one yet has gone postal in Pedricktown.

Many townsfolk head to the local church on Sundays.

Spitfire Aerodrome is a public-use airport located 2 miles south of the Pedricktown in the area of Oldmans Township. The airport is privately owned.

There are many truck farms located in this lovely setting. Pedricktown is famous for many things. Nearby is Penns Grove, the home of many Italian immigrants from Valle San Giovanni in Abruzzo Italy.

Pedricktown hosts the Country Store, an extremely popular and comfortable pizzeria and sandwich takeout location known throughout all of South Jersey.

Diners at this culinary mecca can eat al fresco should they so desire.

The Country Store is owned by the Mistichelli clan, one of the “Famiglie Nobili” (Noble Families) of Crognaleto, Italy. A healthy competition for the most appetizing and authentic dishes exists between the Country Store and the Roman Pantry in nearby Carneys Point, another sandwich emporium whose owners also happen to be Abruzzesi. The Mistichelli’s serve up genuine and authentic Italian foods and have been known to prepare the famous Teramo and Valle San Giovanni dish Le Virtu‘, at celebrations surrounding the Easter Holidays. The Roman Pantry specializes in pizza, cheesesteaks, and other specialties of the owner’s hometown in Valle Soprana, Italy. The visitor to either of these establishments will never walk away disappointed.
